Image Consulting

I am starting an image consulting firm that will help an average person to get that cutting edge in their work environment. .. it could be a student looking for a push start to his career or a corporate looking to get the niche above the rest. .. looking to get noticed. .. it could also be the housewife looking to be a part of her husbands corporate ladderclimb....please help me with a suitable and catchy name.

I have to ask... why are you targeting everyday ordinary people? It seems to me that such services are traditionally sold to politicians and corporate executives and possibly celebrities.

before Henry Ford, automobiles were largely custom-made and were unaffordable to the common man. Maybe you are the Henry Ford of image consulting. Maybe you have some sort of way to make this affordably work for everyday people. Can you give us more information?

    Dear telemoxie,
I come from a background of a Middleclass family for whom education is the only way to a successful life. ..I however felt a big void even after being a topper in school and college. .I was not confident enough. Then I joined the airline industry almost like a rebel of sorts and learned about image building.. It was what I was looking for. . After that there was no looking back. .I attended courses in image building and realized my dream. .I finally resigned as the head of grooming for a leading airline..i would like to empower women and men like me. ... who have the knowledge but get left behind due tlack of self confidence. ..I hope I Hv answered your question. ...

Can you give us some details about your marketing plan? Who exactly is your primary target audience? Where? How are they going to learn about you? Is your service going to be local/face-to-face, or will it be online only?

It sounds like the benefit will be enhanced self-confidence. Are you certain that this is something your target audience wants, or will you have to do some missionary work first?

This is information we will need to come up with a suitable name.

As for "catchy," I'm not sure that should be an objective. It's almost always better to be relevant than to be "catchy."

I'm with Telemoxie. Do the people you're trying to sell to actually have money to pay for image consultancy? Classes, training, self-help courses maybe, but consulting?

Image isn't about being "catchy", it's about standing out in the most crowded of markets or situations for the best of reasons, traits, and qualities.

No one buys image consulting based on the snazziness of a name, they buy these services based on the results obtained by other people just like them.

Simply use your name and the words: personal image consultant. If the most memorable thing about your business is the name of your service there is something seriously wrong with your business plan and with the end results you deliver.

Next, eat, drink, live, and breathe everything that you plan on helping others obtain, stand for, look like, and exhibit. Let THIS be the aspect of your marketing that does the heavy lifting—combined with the stellar testimonials that you'll collect and that you'll gain written permission to use in your marketing efforts from this day forward.

You might try googling the keyword phrase — "personal branding image consultant". Lots of content from this search and maybe will help in formulating your concept. Good Luck.
