Tagline For A Boutique

Posted by shirnette on 65 Points
Hi, I am about to start up a boutique which caters for fashionably professional women . Any ideas that I could add to my brainstorming list? The boutique is named "Audacious Fashions". Thanks.

Where? Online or bricks-and-mortar? Can you be more specific about your target audience? Where do they shop now? How do they learn about new retail options?

What makes your boutique different from, and better than, other boutiques? How will your target audience know you exist? Do you have a marketing plan?

What do you want the tagline to communicate? And why do you want a tagline? Don't you think your name communicates what you offer?

    Quick questions:
-where abouts are you located? country/region. Certain areas have very different perceptions/targeting methods.
-What's your price range? as a boutique I assume you're aiming for the higher end of the market? Not discount clothing?
-Also assume it's for your typical sizing. no plus size etc.
-What age group? 'fashionable professional women' can come from 17 to over 60.

Hi Kimberlypetty, thank you for your response. I am located in the Caribbean region. My target group, as you correctly assumed is the higher end (attorneys, managers, CEO) no discount clothing. But I am also including the plus size group as well, as this seem to be a market with potential- if marketed analysed accurately. My initial business name actually was "Burvy" (combination of beautiful and curvy) but I was unable to secure it. But I really like your suggestions. Being a tremendous help>

Since your business name is generic to gender (although more likely to be assumed for female fashions) and style, you would be prudent to ensure the tagline describes a bit of what you target and provide.

Stylish Attire for the Professional Woman

As a caution, the definition for "Audacious" is "extremely bold or daring; recklessly brave; fearless: an audacious explorer". You might want to re-think the name as it might conflict the brand with the clientele you are trying to target: professional working woman. UNLESS you strongly tie it into the message:

Where Professional Working Women can still be Boldly Stylish
