Posted by errollf on 250 Points
Hi there,
The name of my business is called Nicole's Harvest. We provide Juice Cleanse, Healthy Gluten & Dairy Free Snacks, & Pantry Makeovers. Also do you think I should change the company name and if yes what name would you give it? Thank you!

What do you envision a tag line doing for your company and what do you need it to portray? And if you're to change your business name, won't a tag line that's connected to the current business name become moot?

What's the pros & cons for changing your business name?
It sounds like you offer a wide variety of things. Perhaps you'd be better off using different names for different products/services?

"Pantry makeovers" looks like the oddball in the group. That's the one that needs a new name.

As a general rule, you need to be as focused as possible with your name and tagline. So step #1 is to clearly identify your primary target audience and the important benefit you promise and deliver for them. If the audience or the benefit is different from the others, then it probably shouldn't be part of the brand family.

Step #2 is to find a name and tagline combination that identifies your target audience and clearly expresses the positioning benefit to them. If you already have some equity in Nicole's Harvest, then keep it and add a tagline that explains the benefit. If it's still a new company then you can start fresh and come up with a name that is more precisely on-target for your audience. (The word/name "Nicole" is something of a throwaway, because it doesn't communicate anything useful, except to people who know Nicole.)

Depends on if you are distributing local or intend to expand significantly, both regionally and product line. "Nicole" can work if local, but not as professional if establishing a premium brand. It's casual, but is ok if that's the style you want.

Pantry Makeover is too nebulous, making the consumer think too hard.

Regarding the name, are you sourcing the ingredients locally? Producing yourself locally? What region are you and scan you leverage that?

Nicole's Harvest is the brand name and my products are: Detox, Healthy Snacks, Eco Friendly cleaning products. My tagline that I came up with is " For the Health Conscious Consumer". What do you think about that?

I think eco-friendly cleaning products don't fit very well with "harvest." Usually "harvest" means edible products.

    Hi there,

I get it "harvest" and "eco friendly" does not fit. How do you like the tag name?

Tagline: Can be OK. You know your target audience best.

My experience has been that for food products the most important benefit is delicious/taste, more than healthy.
