How To Approach The Public For Car Sales

I am a newly appointed sales person,who is eager to learn and find new ways of approaching the public in order to market cars and getting attention of potential buyers.can you please help!I am new in this field and i am a learn by doing kind of person.i need guidance to how i can effectively do my job and increase sales in our company?

    Do you work for a car dealer, where primarily people come into the location to buy? Or are you expected to go out and meet people and sell outside of a location which contains your cars?
