Seeking Tagline For A Member Referral Program

Posted by joansykora on 250 Points
I am need to refresh my member referral program with a catchy tagline. Currently when members of a private club refer a prospect and they join the club, the member receives a $300 F&B credit to their account. What's happened with a previous sales person is that it became a "sponsor program" versus a "referral program". So a current member would say oh I sponsored so and so and you owe me a credit on my account. I want to change to make sure they understand it's a referral program and they only get the money if they give us the referral upfront and then they join! I like Sponsor a friend for a credit to spend, but that leaves me at this club in the corner because of the word sponsor instead of refer. We could use Refer a Friend for a Credit to Spend, but we'd need to be super clear that it's not the referral only, it's when they actually join. So I was just seeking some creative taglines.

    I'm a poet and I don't know it.

One, two, three, it's money for me.

Tag lines that rhyme tend to cheapen the overall premise, which gives the wrong overall impression.

I'd urge you to avoid anything "catchy" and instead, to opt for relevance, and to do so in your primary benefits. Most people who think they need a tag line simply need a stronger benefit statement.
