Wonder City Coffee Needs A Tagline

Posted by kpalmer415 on 250 Points
I'm opening a coffee shop in our small (pop. 1000) town in northeastern Oklahoma and cannot come up with an appropriate tagline for Wonder City Coffee. We are 3 sisters in middle age who are trying to begin the revitalization of our downtown area by opening this shop which will serve hand crafted coffee and tea and also serve home baked goods and offer a room sized "little free library" in the back. The Wonder City Coffee name comes from a tagline the town was given back in the 20's when the railroad came through. It was actually Wonder City on Grand River. Anyway, I want people to think "home" when they walk in the door. Opening this place is all about community and giving back. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

It's not clear why you want a tagline. The name makes it clear that you're a coffee shop and that you identify closely with the town. What else do you want? Why?

The concern would be that adding a tagline could take away from (rather than add to) the total communication. Sometime less is really more.

And in a town of that size it won't take long for everyone to understand what you are about.

Why do you think yo need a tag line? In a town of 1,000 people, you may do better by offering superior products and services at affordable prices and letting those things be your tag line.
