What interests you? What is the objective -- a topic that will be meaningful or a topic that will minimize the work required (and the learning)? Perhaps a topic that will give you the opportunity to learn about the industry or company in which you might want to work after you get the MBA?

There is no stock list of topics for MBA candidates. Part of the assignment is to see how resourceful you are in picking a topic. (Or are you paralyzed when faced with important decisions?)

The best would be to write to some companies and look for a placement or project that an MBA-level student could carry out - there are websites for this type of thing too. If this doesn't turn up anything look through current issues of HBR or the Journal of Marketing and note anything that catches your eye as interesting. Once you have a list of topics you find interesting to read about, see if you can use this to stimulate the topic for your thesis.
