Catchy Name For A 'support' Vehicle

Posted by sjohnp on 125 Points
Currently I conduct thermal image inspections with the use of an unusual off road little buggy (Polaris Ace). The vehicle has been specially adapted to house a telescopic mast which can extend to 5 meters high with the option for a larger mast to go upwards of 10 meters. We use the vehicle to drive in-between the rows of solar panels and so speed up any inspection process. Unfortunately there are only a limited number of days you can inspect solar farms which driven by good weather. Now in addition to solar farm inspections we're looking to see how we might utilise the vehicle and mast and one area is the use of video work with the addition of an auto follow cam which is ideal for all kinds of sporting events and the cam simply follows the individual person who will wear a gps detector watch picked up by the camera unit. Other uses could be estate agents looking a new perspective and certainly any aerial images provide a whole new approach. We see the total package as competition to the drone but with the advantage of no issues for restriced fly areas, windy conditions and expensive. What we're looking for help with is a 'name' for the vehicle so we can develop some branding and give the vehicle a personality which is memorable and catchy. For example The Batmobile, Herbie, The little Mule or Ecto-1 which is the name given to the ghostbusters. vehicle - the name is derived from ectoplasm which is basically fictional ghost blood.
Any ideas or help is really appreciated and thank you

With a fuzzy idea of who your target audience is or what benefit you deliver for them, any name will necessarily need to focus on the technology/physical description and leave it up to the [ill-defined] target audience(s) to figure out why they might need/want whatever it is you're selling.

That's not likely to do much for positioning your product/service. It would be much better if YOU can figure out who needs/wants your product and name/position it for them.

My apologies to all the answered received. I fully appreciate it was quite difficult without providing you with a more detailed brief on the 'anticipated' target audience. All responses have been helpful and we're now looking to develop 'Polecat' SV (Support vehicle) as the way forward.

    Many thanks

My apologies for the late reply and whilst I had posted a note to say thank you to all those who helped me with the naming of the vehicle I hadn't awarded points as required. Once again sorry for that and thank you. we are going with the name Polecat.
