Mushroom Farming

Posted by Ca20.sachin on 25 Points
I want to start a new business of growing and selling oyster mushrooms in the local limits. I want a name for my business. Most of my employees will be women from very remote villages who never had an opportunity to grow. I want to keep a name which represents them and the message is easily conveyed to public. I couldn't think of many names but this is by far the best i could think of "the tiny village". Please suggest me some good names. Thanks in advance. :)

Wouldn't you want your name to say something about what you offer, rather than about the people who work for the business?

A name which represents both will be apt. But I couldn't think of any.

Name the business to communicate what your CUSTOMERS need to know. Without their interest (and money) there is no business. It's not the GROWING that brings in money and makes the business successful. It's the satisfied customers who believe they are getting high value for their money.

If you want to recognize the growers you can have a separate program for them, but don't confuse their interests with those of the customers ... which is what you will do if you have a name that tries to do both.

Who is your target [customer] audience? Where? How will they learn about your business?

Provenance is potentially a benefit, particularly if it's associated with flavour or quality. Can you use the name of the region, or the name of a local geographic feature - like River Tendulkar Mushrooms?

    Try this name & tagline:

Village Mushrooms ... Grown in the dark, but a shining light on your dinner plate,

    Good luck with your venture.
