What is the goal? Why do you need a "catchy" tagline? What is the name of the pastor's letter? What is its purpose?

If what you are seeking is for more people to read the letter, talk to the pastor (or whoever writes the letter) and have them write about topics that interest the readers. Getting the letter distributed doesn't sound like the problem. Maybe recipients don't feel the letter is valuable or relevant to their lives. A catchy tagline won't fix that.

Forget "catchy". Do people come to your church because it's more faithy? Instead, seek relevance.

Who reads this piece? What does it cover?

The goal is to just give our pastors monthly letter a title. Why do we need a catchy tag line? We don't we just want one. Currently there is no title to the pastors letter. The purpose is to just left the people know that the pastors letter is on this page.

You could just give the column a new title each time, reflecting the topic covered in the pastor's letter. That would probably get you more readership than simply calling it "Pastor's Letter (or Column)."

Or you could call it "Pastor's Column" so people would know what/where it is without having to think too hard.

If it's just "catchy-ness" you want, you are probably in the wrong place. We address marketing problems here, and this doesn't sound like a marketing problem. (There is no real objective.)

How are you going to evaluate our "catchy" ideas? How will you know if/when we come up with a good one? What criteria will you use to judge "catchy-ness?"
