Advantages & Disadvantages

Some companies choose to enter new markets by internally developing new products and services, while others, as we have been discussing, do so through mergers and acquisitions.

What are the advantages and disadvantages of each approach?

    This sounds like a school assignment or a homework question. My preference would be to help you research and find the answers for yourself, rather than to do your homework for you.

    If I have personally received such an assignment, I would probably go to Wikipedia, and search on things like business strategy and mergers and acquisitions in the product development and so forth.

    Mergers and acquisitions should not be thought of as similar things. They are as different from each other as each is from internal development.
