Happy Holidays Everyone

Posted by Anonymous on 25 Points
This is not a question so I'm only allocating the minimum number of points ... I'd just like to wish everyone all the best for the holiday season (if you celebrate it) and send you all my good wishes for 2005.

For the first time since I was a child, I'm going "back home" to Canada for the holidays, with my son who hasn't seen the Canadian variety of snow yet! ( It hardly ever snows in southern UK where we live.)

While I'm over there I will look into KHE when I get the chance, though ... can't keep away for that long!

Have a great time

Safe travels and Merry Christmas, Suze!

Want to see how optimistic we are for snow at my house in Houston? Click here.

Make a REAL snowman for me, eh?

I really don't understand why anyone in their right mind would actually wish for snow. We're freezing our Italian buns off over here!

"Buon Natale e Buon Anno nuovo".

We tried pouring frozen margaritas all over the landscape, Ricky, but the effect just wasn't the same! ;]

    Shelly, you are too funny.

Hey, I've got a great way to see some snow in Houston. What if you drank every single last one of those margheritas instead of pouring them onto your front porch (why should IT be having all the fun?)

Try it and let me know if it works.

    :)

PS...when I was a kid in Houston, it really DID snow once. We have the pictures to prove it! It all melted the next day, and we shoved out coats back into the closet. T-shirts once again. Ah! The good ol' days!

We must be about the same age, Ricky. I have pictures of the same snow scene in Houston when I was about nine years old -- me, my brothers, and two small, soggy snowmen!

I'll drink a margarita (with salt, please) in a toast to that holiday memory... and to you.

Ricky and everyone -- the Snow Gauge brought a miracle to Houston. We got some of the real thing here in Houston on Christmas Eve!

Santa came and went, too, and all is right with our world.

    Dear Shelley,
The truth is that Santa is a regular here at the KHE. He read that you were wishing for some snow and . . . voilĂ . Your very own Christmas miracle.

    ;-)

As a Scot (exiled in England for many years), let me wish any fellow Scots (or anyone who wants to claim Scots ancestry) a good Hogmanay celebration tonight!

And a very successful 2005 to all KHE'rs - I'll let everyone decide themselves how they measure their own success during the year.

    bobhogg,

some of my ancestors came from Wales---Note the last name: Phillips. So I am tied to the ancestry some way. So back-at-cha with a colossal Hogmanay superduper Elephantscooper of a celebration.

    Deremiah...

Well, at least you can claim some Celtic ancestry if not strictly Scots!

    Happy New Year!
