Is Branding Necessary For A Product To Succeed?

    Yes. Commodity products do this all the time. A commodity by definition is not branded.

    That said, brands can help let you get a higher price for your product, but there is a cost to building and maintaining a brand. Starbucks coffee has branded their product, which allows them to get a much higher price than some generic coffee.

    to be rather blunt YES...a product can survive without having a recognized brand name but is this the only concern. I think most businesses are looking at doing more than just surviving when they launch their product.
