A Name For My App

Posted by ann on 250 Points
Hello All. I need help creating a name for a mobile app my company is creating. The app will be for non-profit orgs to help them spread the word about their fundraisers of any kind (funds, volunteers, community needs) to their constituents or members. The app will also serve as a communication platform for constituents or members. I'd appreciate any ideas for a name that you'd have. Thank you!

How will your app help facilitate spreading the word?
How is your app different/better from other apps/tools organizations may be using?
What type of name are you looking for (do you have any selection criteria)?

The app itself is built on a CRM database platform and will use the organization's contacts within the database to communicate with. Though there are many other systems or tools that do this, the benefit is for the organization to keep all needs within the CRM database. As for a name, I do not have a selection criteria as this app is not specific to any one industry or organization size. Hope this helps.

What will your app do that email or social media won't do to help with messaging? How do contacts get into the database? Do contacts want to be contacted via an app?

Is the app using a customer's existing CRM or does it use its own CRM?
What is the tangible benefit to "keeping all the needs within the CRM"?
This sounds more like a technical feature, rather than a marketing benefit? By using your app, how will their fundraisers raise more money, raise faster money, or raise money from more people/organizations?

Did your company develop the app because it identified an important unmet need among your primary target audience? If so, it would be important to identify and articulate the compelling benefit your target audience would realize if they use the app. Don't get lost in the technical elegance of your solution. Focus instead on the ultimate BENEFIT for your target audience.

If the development project is primarily because some developer thought it would be neat to create something that someone might find interesting, then you will need to "retrofit" a name to the app -- not an ideal situation from a marketing standpoint.

These are all great questions. Let me see if I can give a little more insight. The app was created to help CRM customers who use the tool to keep all their customer communication, and customer records, in one software location. Instead of an organization moving from one system to another to accomplish multiple tasks, i.e. email blasts, update lead status, enter customer contact information, event registrations, surveys, etc., the app is one more solution (fundraising and events) to help CRM customers keep their tasks in one system. Now we are just trying to come up with a name for the app. We do not want to use the name of the CRM in the app because we plan to make this app a stand-alone solution as well.

    Some ideas for consideration:
"All For One, One For All"
    "TaskCentral"
    "1 CRM"
