Wanted!company Recently Changed Their Strategy

Posted by Anonymous on 69 Points
I'm doing an MBA at the Time college, Malaysia. And in our class Management Strategy and Change we are to do a report about the competitive strategy of a company. And how it change their strategy. We haven't got the suitable one.

I've been looking around for any kind of competitive strategy change but havent really been able to find the good information on it. Anybody have any good links to give me or other knowledge?

I appreciate it and thanks in advance!

Timothy

Tim, your question isn't clear. Do you want someone to suggest a company for you to study for your report?

Consider evaluating Kodak. They have been in the FILM business for eons, but now with the growth of digital technologies, they have been making a strategic shift into the MEMORY business. (That's nostalgic memory in the human head, not in computer chips.)

If you want to find news and links about Kodak on this topic, spend some time on www.googleguide.com to learn the best tips for getting what you need from that search engine.

    Good luck!

I like Kodak as a suggestion, you could look into Firefox.

They have recently come out of the dark ages, from a company developing a small time internet browser to a foundations that is serious about empowering the internet user and not Bill Gates!

    Information about Firefox is here.

    You can get Firefox here.

    Good Luck

Tyco International could be a good example. They appeared to be doing very well in the 1990's, but then got caught with some accounting problems and the CEO (Dennis Kozlowski) got arrested for some personal excesses. Since then, a new CEO was put in place (Jim Breen) and he had to change the strategy for the company, and they seem to be succeeding.

Google Tyco International and you will find a lot. here are a few:
