You may need to clarify your question a bit further as it's not very clear.

If Wayne Po says you need to clarify, then you need to clarify. Wayne runs a great web site on doing business in Asia (asiapreneur.com), so he would be good for an answer if anyone would.

    hi noemie

echoing WaynePo i would like to have a more detailed question.

IMHO, in a nut shell, International food companies align their brands to suite the Chinese food taste and habits. bottom line Be a Chinese in China.

    hope this helps.

    Thanks for the plug Peter!

I agree with Mushfique as well, as in marketing to any foreign market, aligning your product or service to suit the local needs, preferences, tastes, etc is always the way to go.

A perfect example is KFC who is experiencing tremendous growth in China, they've also created product offerings that appeal to the locals (ie a wrap sandwhich that is similar to how you eat Peking Duck but instead of duck it's KFC chicken).

It helps that chicken is a main staple of Chinese food and culinary dishes.

Or McDonald's has "Asian" offerings such as the "Samurai Burger".

I could on and on about this....
