Email Appends? Pros And Cons...

We are in the process of sending all our contact info through NCOA and also plan to get some data append information (like sales volume, etc.). One of the append options is email address. Has anyone done this before? what's the accuracy like? If you've emailed these people even asking if they'd like to be on a mailing list, what was their response like? Furious, or fine?

    Hi Karen,

    I would expect that your results will be very similar to Annes'.

    Your bounces hard and soft should be almost identical at an aggregate of 40%, maybe higher because churn alone is between 30-35% a year.

    30% clickthrough is high, but not unheard of if the relationship is already close. If this applies to you and they recognize you and the value you are offering in return is high, you could get the same +- 30%.
