What is a best practice for the length of an e-mail in business to business marketing.

    Hi jlacroix,

    Typically, it is good practice to keep your HTML newsletters so that they "weigh" no more than 25-40 KB.

    You will find this to be approximately 1000 words including images (make sure the images are compressed correctly).

    There are exceptions of course to exceeding this, but in general if you follow these rules you should not turn any permission-based subscribers off or irritate any spam filters in place.

    If you are bigger than this don't worry, as long as you are adding value you will be O.K.

    The best practice is to make an email message just long enough to accomplish its objective ... not a word longer.
