Help/comments On Tagline For Lucky Dog Designs

Posted by Anonymous on 125 Points
My business is named Lucky Dog Designs, but I do not sell dog products, I sell baby accessories, diaper bags and soon to add toddler accessories. I chose a name that did not scream baby as at the time I was also going to do other projects not related to kids.

My initial tagline was simply "Stylish accessories for Mom & Baby". But since I am now setting up shop online, I wanted to take the opportunity to revamp logo, tagline, etc. Recent brainstorming came up with. . .

Lucky Dog Designs
Accessories that are a Mom's Best Friend

Any comments/suggestions would greatly be appreciated. Thanks.

You know, you could always create a whole new business entity for the online store. The website could "feature" products from Lucky Dog Designs instead of BEING Lucky Dog Designs.

That would give you free rein to think of a whole new name... AND a separate entity might actually have some tax advantages, too. (I'm no CPA, though, so it's best to check with a professional on that issue.)

    Good luck!

While you're thinking, Sandy... your strategy could be to go ahead and build a Lucky Dog site, but make it extremely simple -- even just a single page. Feature a photo of your products, all in an artfully arranged cluster, with a prominent link under them that says:

    "Sold exclusively online at ."

Then invest your time and money in the online store, whatever its name may be.

Hope to see follow-up questions from you here on the forum. This place is a great resource for entrepreneurs and small business owners!
