Ann Handley says, "Technology is only as good as the story." That's true—but the corollary is that in a digital world, software is the conduit through which our stories are told. Marketing has become a technology-powered discipline, and it's important that, as marketers, we develop our capabilities to leverage these powerful storytelling tools.
In this PRO seminar, you'll receive an overview of the current state of the marketing technology landscape and we'll discuss the principles by which you can harness it as a competitive advantage. You'll walk away with a solid understanding of the intersection between marketing and technology, and gain tips to build a better relationship between marketing and IT.
Scott Brinker has more than 20 years of experience in marketing, IT, and software product development. He is the co-founder and CTO of ion interactive, a marketing software company that provides a platform for web-based marketing apps for leading brands. Scott is the author of the Chief Marketing Technologist blog where he writes about the evolution of strategy, management, and culture at the intersection of marketing and technology. He has a BS in computer science from Columbia University, an SM in computer science from Harvard University, and an MBA from MIT Sloan.
