Reddit has become one of the most powerful forces when people search terms related to B2B SaaS, according to recent research from Foundation.
The research was based on analysis of Google SERPs for 8,566 keywords where Reddit competes with B2B SaaS domains across four verticals: Review Sites, Sales Tech, SaaS Platforms, and Unified Communication and Contact Center as a Service (UCaaS/CCaaS). See the full report for the detailed methodology and findings.
The researchers found that in three of four verticals, Reddit commands 40 to 45% of the top three SERP positions for the keywords analyzed.
The exception is UCaaS/CCaaS, where Reddit accounts for just 10.5% of the top three results.

For more than half (4,225) of the keywords examined, Reddit outranks all SaaS vendors in search results.

The researchers found that Reddit's impact extends well beyond evaluation-intent keywords (searches that contain terms like "best" or "compare").
In fact, some 77% of the B2B SaaS search volume that Reddit wins comes from generic keywords that have nothing to do with reviews, alternatives, or comparisons.
