Employees say that the thumbs up is the most appropriate emoji in the workplace and that the eggplant is the most inappropriate.

That's according to a survey conducted by Lokalise of 1,003 workers in Germany, Mexico, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

An infographic (below) looks at key findings from the research.

It covers the 12 emojis workers say are the most appropriate and inappropriate in the workplace, and explores geographical and generational differences among the responses.
