Ideas In Marketing For A New Cooking School

Posted by Anonymous on 25 Points
I started a cooking school in europe with a friend, we emphazise on guerilla marketing. For instance, if one person comes with 2 other friends at lunch hour for a 45 minutes lessons, we bring them coffee and cupcakes at their office afterwards. This kind of marketing allows us to build a close relationship with our clients and also with potentiel clients

I'm looking for original ideas

thanks

The book 1001 Ways to Build Retail Excitement has a ton of great ideas.

Guerrillas keep in touch with their clients to keep TOMA, top of mind attitude. Be a resource to your clients-- another good book (which I am an author) is Guerrilla Networking. You could invite clients back with a knife sharpening service. Why not do a demo at a school with the kids on holiday baking? The kids can bring home something that they're proud of. Then draw them to your school with a mother (grandmother)/daughter combined cooking class?

Who can you fusion market with? A grocer? A pots & pans retailer? Tupperwear? Wine shop helping pair wine and food? Writing an article of recipies with his featured specials? Doing a dinner and theatre event matching food and film?

The Road Show...we have a company here, Omelet King, who goes in for special occasions and cooks omelets for the staff. Could get some of these types of gigs and pass out info about the school as well.

Direct mail to a targeted market also. Make them a special offer...Elegant Holiday Cooking...Quick Meals for Working Parents...Special Diets Cooking...Surprise! Valentine Dinners...Cooking for Crowds...Entertaining

Instead of a formal cooking kitchen - hold a class in a park (al fresco cooking). Consider a camping cooking class (how to create great meals while backpacking). Cooking at lunchtime in the office - how to take leftovers and zip them up.

Start a blog and post a new recipie each week with a photo of it and a link to sign up to the class that teaches you how to make that dish. Yummy!
