What's The Best Way To Market My Comedy Podcast?

I am distraught, I need to find a way to let the world know about my comedy podcast [url removed], is there a way to build engagement other than paying huge amounts for adverts or what?

    Who is your ideal listener, and what are you offering in terms of entertainment that similar podcasts don't offer?

    How does your material attract, hold, and focus your audience's attention? Who are the characters in your podcast and what's compelling about them? Why should anyone care?

    Have you been able to identify your ideal listener and get them to share their love of what you're producing? There's a wealth of people doing comedy podcasts – what makes your angle/approach singularly fun?

    "[T]he world" is a very big place, and it's not easy to reach without a substantial investment. See if you can narrow the target audience and be more realistic about your goals.

    Start small. Find people in your local community who like the podcast and ask them to spread the word. Do some stand up/live stuff. Go somewhere with real people and get them involved. Hand out flyers or announcement cards. If people like it, they'll pass them on.
