Tag Line For Iso Commerical Training Campaign

Posted by Anonymous on 250 Points
I have just been assigned an ISO (International Standards Organization) Commercial Training Campaign and since it was just approved today and I am in a rush to start designing I need a very creative tagline...preferably one that is short and sweet and straight to the point. This is for an ISO Registrar who is one to the top and considered to be a premium provider. I also need to come up with a color scheme if anyone has any suggestions...would like color scheme to reflect...premium and or quality...was thinking about something gold or platnium...any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

    hi liz

for color scheme, use Gold, Champagne Gold, Matt Gold etc. colors as that is associated with premium and quality.

    as for tag line
    "Your Achievements...Certified"
    "Your Premium ISO Certification Provider"
    "Your Standards..... We Certify"

    hope this helps

    cheers!!

Hold on. Don't rush to a tag line so quickly.

The first step is to get the positioning statement written and agreed by everyone. That's not always so easy, but once you have it the tag line assignment becomes much easier.

Remember the Yogi Berra revision to the Alice In Wonderland line: "When you don't know where you're going, you'll end up someplace else." If you don't know what your positioning is, your tag line is going to end up being "someplace else."

You'll look much smarter to your client if you give them a little lesson on positioning and get them to commit to a very specific and well-constructed positioning statement BEFORE you start generating tag lines.

Need more info on positioning? See appendix in "Rasputin For Hire" (www.rasputinforhire.com).

    Good luck.

Liz, you've got a good starting point for the tagline.

Let me reframe MGoodman's advice slightly: It's okay to rush to the tagline, but don't get married to it. Michael's remarks about clarity in positioning are quite valid, and you can bet your next paycheck that you'll have quite a bit of dialogue with your client before their positioning statement, value proposition, and so forth come tripping off anyone's tongue. THEN the tagline will almost emerge on its own. Almost.

So... keep your tagline as a "placeholder" until you go through the required agony with the client. Who knows? Maybe it will turn out to be the perfect tagline after all. But I wouldn't bet a paycheck on THAT. ;]
