I am at a loss these days in getting my website up and running. Can someone please take a look at my site and tell what they think...give your professional and possible consumer opinion. [inactive link removed]

Thanks

the website was nicely laid out and seemed professional. But I had to search to find out what you do and why I would ever want to come back to your sight. This may be due to the newness and perhaps lack of overflowing content, I may not be that familiar with your business, or you may want to go back in and restate the obvious.
This is what I do, and these are the reasons why.

If you are going to be the news source for small to mid-size companies looking for marketing/sales information then I would seriously think about getting rid of your current home page.

You want people returning to your site. The only way to get visitors to return is to make getting the news easy... In fact very easy.

You could have two News sections. One on the home page with free news and the one you want people to pay for would be on the MarketBind eLibrary page. Set up both pages with the same easy to use Browse by Topic and Search Feature.

If I'm coming to your site to find information on the latest developments in SEO, then I want to be able to know if you have any free articles or do I have to subscribe to your eLibrary.

I know Homestead and this is one of their web templates, there has to be a better template for you to use. To be honest, who really likes the look of CNN or the other news websites. No one looks at the creative, they are there for the news. Your site should be set up the same way.

The New MarketBind - your one source for the latest news and information on Marketing & Sales. We know you don't have time to read the latest issue of Brandweek or Selling Magazine. Just type the word Marketing in a major search engine and you will be there for days... Not any more. MarketBind has all the Marketing/Sales information you need to take your business to the next level. We make it easy for you to find exactly what you are looking for.

Just visit www.marketbind.com to get started. We offer both free and pay areas.

    Good Luck

    Hi Luke,

Your website is ok!! but there are some flaws i just want to bring it to your notice, this is purely based on my experience.

Remove the flash contents or make it smaller as it has occupied much header panel and it also takes time to download.

Change the color of the font because red color fonts indicates that it has already been clicked.

    Change the introduction and tagline.

Too much of introduction on the Featured content is not worth. I am sure ppl will not read the entire introduction. I suggest you to write two or three lines.

Redesign your website layout, first try to get trust from the visitors.

I hope this may help you....

Top graphic blinds the visitor to the most important thing, the copy. The copy speaks about the company and not what the company can do for the reader. You only have "up to" 7 seconds to get their interest.

Your opening sentence is way too long as well as ineffective. Make sentences short and easy to understand.
