Coca Cola Distribution Channels

Posted by Anonymous on 125 Points
Hi,

i am doing a research for a project and am looking for some indepth help with the distribution channels that coke uses to reach the consumer in Canada.

What i know so far is that coke uses independent and co-owned bottlers who either act as distributors or just do the bottling and then comes the wholesaler who distributes to retailers, vending machines, hotels, restaurants, fast food outlets etc.

I also need to know how is everything transported, using just the Coca Cola trucks or ....?

Any related help and names of companies involved would be great. My main concern is being able to show the different distribution channels from beginning to end and their members.

    hi boby

its me again!! you have closed your earlier question!! so here i am responding...

when bottlers are not distributors, then there is an added element of Distributor who delivers to all the channels (retailers, vending, hotels etc.)

but when the bottlers are distributors themselves, then they go directly go to the channels.

usually the distributor has its own branded transport pool, so far thats what i have experienced. The reason is Coke's stringent branding policy and guidelines. and Coke usually doesn't use third party transporters.

you can check the following links of some anchor bottlers..

    hope this helps.

    cheers!!
