Need Good Name For New Conference...something Catc

Posted by Anonymous on 500 Points
I am planning a new conference for executive women that will include not only business seminars but health & fitness, image/fashion consulting, time management etc. It will be a very fun, unique complete event that will encompass all areas of an executive woman's life. I need a catchy title/slogan. The 1st event will be held in Miami at a spa/golf resort.

I want to stress these things:

Life Change
Empowering
Transformation
Success
Motivation
Personal Growth

Anyone have any ideas?

    Hi,

Developing a name for your conference or company or product is crucial in brand building. It's not a process to take lightly, nor is it wise to rush to a decision because letterhead needs to be printed or the website is ready to launch. There are several tips to help you successfully develop a brand name. They are:

    1. Don't describe—distinguish. The biggest mistake ompanies make is being too descriptive with their names. A name should not attempt to simply describe; it should have the ability to suggest the essence (the unique characteristics) of your company. To be effective, a name must have brand potential. A name that is narrow or too descriptive does not have the depth or dimension to become an effective brand.

    2. If it's comfortable—forget it. Everyone else will. The most successful names over the long-term are often those that are initially the most controversial (think Google, Yahoo). When you select a name, you are looking for something to punch through the marketplace clutter, not add to it. Overtly literal meanings can sometimes limit growth and show a lack of company creativity.

    3. Keep it brief. One word brands are most effective.Lengthy, multiple word names lead to truncation. When people abbreviate your name, you lose control over your brand.

    4. It's about strategy, not emotion and politics. Many clients are surprised that selecting a name is such an emotionally charged decision. Naming decisions are fraught with politics, turf issues, and individual preferences. Stick to the strategy and do not allow the lowest common denominator solution.

    5. Always be prepared for leaks. It is very difficult to keep a new name a secret. At the beginning of the naming process, prepare your press release and press kit in the event of a leak.

    6. Don't expect unanimity. In the first few weeks following introduction, there is often a lot of discussion and publicity about a new name. Familiarity breeds comfort. As people become more familiar with the name, they will become more comfortable with it.

    7. CEO involvement is key. Because selecting and adopting a new name is a highly emotional and political decision, you will not succeed without support from the top. Be sure that you have buy-in from the "C-Suites" in the beginning and that you keep them on board throughout the process.

    8. Make room for expansion. The name should not be so narrow that it will create problems in future.

Go through the following articles as well:

    3. https://www.findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_m0DTI/is_10_27/ai_56640012

    Try the following names:
    1. Transformation to succeed
    2. Womens best conference
    3. Womens best environment
    4. Empowering women
    5. Success Unlimited
    6. Motivating life, empowering people/ women
    7. Growth is a way of life
    8. Growth unlimited
    9. We motivate

    Hope this will help.

    1. Rock The Cradle ... The Sequel

Following the "You've come a long way baby' theme.

    2. Take Back The Potter's Wheel

Lots of hands on metaphors here, from earth, clay, in control, choosing function or style, design, longevity, from coiling to throwing pots, on becoming an artisan .... I'll show some restraint and stop now.

ps: In case you didn't remember pottery was womens work originaly then the various wheel styles came along & men took over but women are now provided the legal opportunity to form their own ideals/works/success.

    Have a great event!

Why don't go simple and bald:

    "She is..."

and then in different ads you could ad is a leader, mother, motivator etc. You could do a two part ads campaign in a first one asking "Who is She...?" and then giving your answers...

    Hi

As you are trying to name a conference (which may be periodic... with different themes) you should come up with a name, to which u can attach ur theme as subtitle. Also the name should be

    1. Unique to grab attention
    2. Not too generic to prove an impediment in copyright issues if you go for it in future.
    3. Plus it shud hav a rationale & an explanation(although not necessary) to get the feel of the purpose of conference.

Since it is for women, the name should hav a charm & shud hav a feminine appeal.
One suggestion frm my side is...

    Telisma
    the women's conference...

(the font size of subtitle hav to be very less)

Telisma can be related to hindi/urdu word 'tilism' means magic and also to english word 'talisman', and does gives the bizzare appeal...

Also u can explain it by expanding it

Transforming & Empowering LIfe for Sucess and...
(depending upon whats the major goals of ur conference)

Hope it helps, and gives u another line of thought for ur ideal name...

Something Catchy you say?? Her we go with tree more!

    Full Mettle Felines:

A take-off on edgey Combat movies, using 'Metal'

    - Courage and fortitude; spirit: troops who showed their mettle in combat.
    - Inherent quality of character and temperament.

    and of course Feline;
    - Of or belonging to the family Felidae, which includes the lions, tigers, jaguars, and wild and domestic cats; felid.
    - Suggestive of a cat, as in suppleness or stealthiness.
These Executives like all cats have a crucial role in maintaining and determining the health of ecosystems.

So what have we got ...

Strong spirit and character with a crucial role as Apex Predators - covering and controlling the terrain and very close to Mother Earth.

    1. Full Mettle Felines;
A Conference for all your Senses.

    or

    2. It Had To Be You!

    and finally .... for now

    3. Glam-Bam-Thank You Ma'am;
Your Image/health, Business Impact and RESPECT Valise.

Hope these are as you required "very fun, unique.... encompass all areas of an executive woman's life".

The H would be in italics or a different color... you can do an animated logo where the H would fall into the POWER and ER would take the color of the H. I think it would have to have some feminine attribute to attract the target mkt.

Followed by a tagline like // take charge (of your future)

Or if you need something more explicit // Women taking charge
