Ad Server Software Recommendations

We are now ready to start propping advertisers on our website allconnect.com. However, we are not large enough just yet to employ the service of the larger ad serving agencies (think Real Media, Doubleclick etc.), and were thinking about using a software application to store, manage and push out the ad images to the site for us. Does anyone have any recommendations for ad serving software for a website? Is there even such a thing?

What have you done in the early stages of your website, to push ads out on your site?

    Download an opensource script called phpAdsnew.

    I've used it myself, great program! You will need a server with PHP and MySQL installed on it. Almost any LAMP server will do. If you don't have one, rent one. If you wish, contact me, I have space on my servers to host the application for you.

    I would suggest using one of the many affiliate networks out there (i.e. CJ, tradedoubler, affiliate window etc).
