Need Suggestions For Improvements On Website And Banner Ad

Posted by Anonymous on 125 Points
My company is in the process of launching e-enabled peer advisory boards for the owners, presidents, and CEOs of small businesses. While we have some talent in assembling the boards and facilitating them. We're a bit new to the world of e-marketing.

We've assembled a first draft of our website and you can find that at www.peersightonline.com.

We've also created a banner ad for use in entrepreneur.com's growing your business newsletter and that can be found at [inactive link removed]

We desperately need feedback on how we can improve our website and banner ad to ensure that we get acceptable click thru rates and conversions. Any advice, improvements, criticisms, etc that can be offered, we would greatly appreciate. Thanks in advance.

Okay, so what are you selling?

Really, its a big question. I can read between the lines, but, will the market? ITs not that clear what service you are offering.

As for the banner ad, same thing. It's asking you to click here...why should I? What you banner ad says to me is: We know more than you do, click here, company name.

If I do click through to the web site, I'm still left with the impression...what are thse guys selling?

    Hi andrew.macgill,

    I hope you're having a great day!

I agree with some of the things darcy.moen has brought up. I have more than a few friends who are CEO's and one thing they don't have much of is time. Yes they are all in a time deficit worldview. So your flash images will offer more of a distraction than a solution. Furthermore they raise more questions than they bring forth the solution right away...and that's what CEO's are looking for. Help me get my solutions solved faster.

    HOW DO CEO'S SEE...
In particular you should consider how CEO's look at business solutions. Go visit those markets online that cater to CEO's. Check out Fortune magazine online and you'll at least see what CEO's are drawn to in a magazine venue. You might be surprised what you might learn if you really observe their site quite objectively.

PEOPLE ARE EXTREMELY SKEPTICAL...so why should they do business with you. There is nothing communicating who you've done business with right up front or who endorses your product.

GET SOME CEO'S YOU'VE DONE BUSINESS WITH TO...
offer their endorsements of your products or services. This is crucial and a big mistake that is commonly made by most businesses that are marketing to people. They fail to draw people in with those who have backed their businesses.

    I THINK YOUR BANNER...
can pull more of an interest in what you do but you will have to consider what are you trying to communicate to your audience through the banner. In other words what do you want the banner to challenge your customer to do? Right now it's not provoking enough...Remember our only real problem in life is our failure to be "MORE Creative" than we’ve ever been. If you “Invent” your opportunity YOU WILL most definitely create your future. Just know that I'm here for you if you need my help. Is there anything else I can do for you?

    Hi Andrew Macgill,

I like your webpage. Best of luck! Colour good, presentation good and to be honest I like animation style. If you could put the option like “A to Z” it will provide easiness to do search.

The people who you are targeting are talented guys and they know what to look and where to look? It only matters how you going to provide your service to them. Other things are very good.

    Best of Luck again!

    Regards,

    M Bhor
