Grand Opening Event For Childrens' Programs

Hi. We are "Seeds of Discovery" and our Tag Line is "Laying the foundation that helps children be successful in life, love and learning". We offer Kindermusik, Signing Smart, and two other "structured play" programs for children from newborn to 7 years of age. We are planning our Grand Opening in order to create awareness as to our existence and offerings and we are looking for some ideas to get people to come. Our event will be happening at 3 different locations on 3 different days and we only have one location where balloons and registration booths are an issue. We can do pretty much whatever we want at the other two locations. I've thought of Free draws for coupons to our classes, instruments, beach balls....but what can we do to get people to come aside from posting our own ads around town? How do you get the media to come? And, if they come, how do we make our Grand Opening "Grand" enough to not flop? We're getting nervous on account of marketing inexperience. We've got a little over three weeks left to plan too. Help!

    Whew, that's a bit of a mouthful isn't it? Does not exactly roll off the tongue, which the best tag lines do. How about just "Life, Love, Learning". You can always add the rest in the ad/promotional/informational copy.

    Getting the media to come can be difficult. Check your local television, radio and newspapers to see who is responsible for local events. Contact them either by phone or email and make sure to send a press release. Also, if there are any weekly publications or community papers (like the Penny Saver) make sure to contact them. Maybe a week before your event go to wherever you are holding the event and place flyers under the windshield wipers of the cars in the parking lot. Contact schools and daycares and other child-centric business who might be interested in what you offer. Do you have website? You might consider that if you do not. Consider using "ringers" - have friends and family dropping by to talk and keep your registration booth from looking empty. Have some kids running around with balls or balloons to attract other kids who in turn will drag their parents over so they can get a balloon or ball. Hope this helps.

    As your business offer music and movement programs together with other structured play programs for infants and young children. I should request you to consider following points for Grand Opening for Children’s opening.

    • The meaning of advertising is to let people know who you are and change their behaviour toward your organisation. Serving them profitably.
    • For any business attracting people is key part of success. In your business it is easier to pursue parents.
    • Every parents wants their child can get good education and cultural value. So who plays the big role?
    • “Fees” – But parents can ignore if you providing good education.
    • To get there confidence you should target the parents whose child is already in the school by giving discount.
    • For the grand opening you should publish in news paper, Local TV, Website and Radio.
    • You should send letter to every parent and give them free invitation to bring their friends.
    • You should use board / flyers to advertise.
    • Invite other schools and there staff for the opening – may be you will more student from there school.
    • Sign up sheets for the function.
    • Before the opening you should arrange parents meeting.
    • Don’t forget to invite big star or politician for the ceremony

    DO I KNOW WHAT I'M TALING ABOUT? I DEAL WITH AT-RISK CHILDREN...
    As an advocate for At-Risk Children in my community in St. Charles, Illinois, and a recipient of the "Acres of Diamonds" award (because Nightingale Conant believed I deserved it when they saw me having major impact in the lives of children). I'd love to share some sure fired ways you can get people interested in what you do. And I don't have time to tell you everything you need to know so shoot me an email if you need to.

    IF I CAN DO THIS U CAN DO THIS...
    As a matter of fact I am totally convinced that anybody can do these things if I can. And it's really not expensive at all. That's right you can even reach people in the media who would love to hear about what you are doing. And they (the media) would love to share the things you are doing with the community and here's why.

    REMEMBER THIS...(It's Very Powerful)...IF YOU TAKE ACTION TO "DO IT" IT'S EVEN MORE POWERFUL...
    The reason why they'd love to share what you are doing with the community is because bottom line "They NEED News".

    So you need to contact:
    Newspapers
    Radio Stations
    Television stations

    and share with them in plain english what you are about to do to transform your community into a "GREAT PLACE" for children and adults in your community. Remember one of the keys of the successfully minded person is to...

    BE PASSIONATE!!!

    BUT DON'T STOP THERE...
    Contact other groups that it would seem natural for your organization to partner with. Why? Because we all accomplish more when we work together. Sure some people never get why relationships are important and so to be very honest with you I must say YOU WILL run into some businesses and people that could careless about what you are doing BUT remember this...

    DON'T STOP THERE...
    If you don't stop when you run into these people who could careless you will eventually by "The Law of Persistence" run into...

    THE PEOPLE THAT MATTER...
    Who are these people that matter? They are those who who have been waiting for you to show up...they are those who listen and who do care. So CONTINUE to reach out until you connect with others in your community who value the POWER that working together brings both to you and them. And as sure as I have helped hundreds of others come to the truth of what I'm sharing with you today...YOU to WILL meet people in your community who appreciate working together with others in their community and they are the people that matter. And I'm not saying the others who won't listen don't matter. They do matter but not to your current dream and not right now.

    YOU DON'T NEED 100% OF THE PEOPLE IN YOUR CORNER TO MAKE YOUR BUSINESS SUCCESSFUL...JUST 20% AND HERE'S WHY?
    Because only 20% of the people do 80% of the work in every community. And all you need is a few of these people to make a huge difference in your world. The problem is most of the time these people are very busy but be persistent (they like persistent people because they too are persistent. Your persistence will remind them of their perseverance and as they see themselves in you they will yield to your determination).

    BUT DON'T STOP THERE...YOU WILL SUCCEED JUST AS LONG as you...don't stop calling others. If you go out to meet others and share your information among others in your community you will succeed. The faster you do this the quicker it will happen. If you procrastinate or let fear affect your momentum it will take longer and that I can promise you. How do I know these things work because some great men shared these ideas with me along time ago when I was broke and unsuccessful and I tried them believing that they would work for me and they did!

    now I can't tell you everything. You're going to have to read to get some of these other success secrets.
