Posted by Anonymous on 115 Points
Hello,

We just launched a new corporate site.

Does anyone have ideas about promoting the new site through Email, articles, blogs, RSS or other types of Web marketing?

Thank you,

First off, I don't see a RSS feed button on your site. You will need that to have folks hook into your RSS feed from your web site.

You might consider adding an articles and white paper area to your web site. The content you 'give away' becomes the content others promote on your behalf. How do you envision your content helping others? We'll need to know that to help promote your web site.

    Hi there:

Social media is growing popular, (i.e. blogging, although I predict that Video over the Internet will make that fizzle soon enough and a new era of podcasting will take over) but you have to be dedicated, relevant and a little patient.

Have you identified who your target market is and how to reach them? Before you decide how to get everyone to your site, figure out who and the desired results for such traffic. This is a niche market you are in.

You may try some sort of call to action on your blasts.

I often think e-marketing is over emphasised and back to basics works best. Find out who and where your market listens and go there. Sometimes, this is not possible by virtual world as the lead.

    Hello Dale:
I have never done an email blast to a "list" or to anyone that has not asked to be part of our network and am not suggesting you would. My list contains current clients, those who have signed up for our newsletters, white papers, etc. Many leads have come from people simply using the "forward" function and forwarding to colleagues they know need my services/products. These blasts should be informative and give the reader something - not an outward facing advertisement.
