Brand Name For Solitaire Collection.

HI
One of my clients, a diamond jeweller is planning to open an exclusive collection for solitaire (rare diamonds) inside his existing shop ( a separate section). I would like to have your suggestions on the brand name for this solitaire collection. Name can be in English French, Greman, Greek etc. Also let me know whether there is any specific term for a shop in shop ( a separate section inside the shop). Please help.

    What you are attempting is a good idea. However, when you are sub-branding a product within a pre-existing product -- you have to be careful that what you do does not confuse your existing clients as well as new customers all together.

    You don't want people saying "Who are these guys -- are they this or they that?". In some cases people might think you have re-branded all together. I would suggest once you do decide on a sub-brand name (e.g. The Explorers Collection) -- make sure you do a premium job coming up with a logo and product positioning so that the new offering stands out enough to make an impact.

    you will get 650 hits - and many of these are examples you can learn from.

    If it were my store, I would not try to divide my customers by quality nor by purchasing ability. Maybe you could draw a distinction by purchasing or viewing style, rather than price. Suppose the section were something like, "Diamonds by appointment" - folks could walk in and see your general collection, and if they want to see some things which are very special, they make an appointment (which will help with security as well). If it were my store, I would have diamonds in ALL price ranges in the "by appointment" section. Good luck.
