    2. Investment of each orgn-Coke & Pepsi to develop this market themselves
    3. Continuance with independent bottlers or Expansion plans eliminating independent bottlers in Pakistan.

    Hi There,

Coke Vs Pepsi is not innovative thing but Coca Cola is world's most popular soft drink. There are so many reason why the world class product is not popular in Pakistan and popular in western world.

To find out the actual reason we have to talk about all environmental and cultural issues of South Asia. Cola has several brand in International Market. As per my knowledge we have 74 types of Cola in the market. Some of them are designed to tackle the requirment of the country by considering value and norms.

It came to my knowledge that people in Pakistan don’t drink Coke if they can get Zamzam Cola (Country of Origin: Iran) and Mecca Cola (Country of Origin: France). Some of the religion issues also makes different to Coca Cola to establish his base in Pakistan. Some of the issues I have read on chat rooms are “Mecca Cola is introduced by Muslims to boycott American products and to help the Palestinians.”

To this issue latest updates are “None of the carbonated soft drink brands of The Coca-Cola Company contain ingredients derived from mammals or poultry. We abide by the laws and practices in every country where our brands are sold. This includes countries where Islam is the principal religion such as Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Pakistan, whose governments have accepted our brands as suitable for consumption by members of the Muslim community.” (Ref: https://www2.coca-cola.com/contactus/myths_rumors/middle_east_vegetarians.h...)

There are some issues I have directed to the link point. If you could click on the following attachments you will find the answer.
