New Name For Wholesale Jewelry Store Turned Retail

we have gone under the name cleveland wholesale jewelry for 25 years and have been in retail for 18 years. the word wholesale in the name attracts the wrong customers. we have rectiently moved and are looking to change the name. this is a family business and my father is against nameing it after him, Alan; my name is Niki and have been intrested in jewelry design for years; working toward my jewelry and metals major at Kent state university. I have reciently learned how to design on a CAD jewelry program, and are using all these skills in the store.

    This is an oft repeated question on Mktg profs.

    Click the Search Questions link on the right. Pick the category Taglines/Names and in the Search For box, enter Jewelry.

    Browse through some of the ideas that people have suggested and you'll definitely find something useful there.

    Niki Cleveland Designs

    I think Cleveland Jewelers is the best name to stick with in terms of the store.

    Have a Grand Opening Event and an email sign up page. Wish lists are great for jewelry stores, so ask you customers to include their wishes. Keep a card on file for each customer and pull when a husband or loved one comes in to buy a gift for that person.

    Eventually, get all of this online!!!

    Send out a press release to all trade mags and rags plus to all the local newspapers and TV and Radio! Get the word out

    "Cleveland Wholesale Jewelers has been your locally and family owned jeweler for 25 years!!! Come to our Grand Opening to celebrate our new name Cleveland Jewelers!! There will be prizes, refreshments and great deals on our gorgeous selection of diamonds, Jewels, rings, pendants, and so much more. Plus enter to win a stunning Ruby(?) ring! Cleveland Jewelers, slightly new name, same locally and family owned jeweler you love!"
