Live Event Promotion

Posted by Anonymous on 125 Points
I am working on a study of live event promotion and what types of promoting (word of mouth, print, radio, etc) work best when promoting these events. Does anyone know of any articles or studies that I can use to read and cite in my own report?

If you were more specific in your "live events" definition, that would help narrow the answer. Tradeshows have a different promotion then seminars or association meetings, for example.

    Event Marketer Magazine
    Exhibition Magazine
    Trade Show News Network tsnn.com
    Selling Power Magazine
    Successful Meetings Magazine
    Acteva.com's Event Marketers Journal

George P. Johnson and company publish studies on the tradeshow
and event industry all the time - go to the Contact Us and click on Whitepapers

    Skyline Exhibits also publishes whitepapers

Center for Exhibit Industry Research - publish lots of reports https://www.ceir.org/research/report_search.asp

    Meeting Planners International
    Tradeshow Central TSCentral.com
    Tradeshow Exhibitors Association TSEA.org

If your head isn't spinning by now, it will be soon. Good luck!
