Changing Career To Marketing

dear sir,
i am a mechanical engineer workin in a MNC for the past two years. but i want to shift my career now to marketing . could you please suggest me what to do next.

    Check out my previous comments on technical sales. It has been my observation that technical sales is a more lucrative field than engineering.

    You might be interested in product management or product marketing management, which combines both marketing and technical knowledge.

    Before taking a giant leap (like giving up your job to attend school), I would recommend getting your feet wet however you can while still staying employed. For example, talk with the marketers at your job to get an idea of their day-to-day duties; maybe you can also spend a day or more shadowing them. Offer to get involved on projects. Volunteer or take a class outside of work. I hope that helps, and good luck.
