Need Ideas For Home Builder Expo

Posted by Anonymous on 50 Points
My company is going to be exhibiting at a Home Builers Convention. We offer a website that would allow builders to research potential development sites. The theme for the convention is "Under Contruction". Any suggestions for what we can do with our table? We will have a computer and flat screen tv to display our website. I welcome any thoughts!
Thanks,Lauren

Just make it look like a construction site, no slick tables, no slick anything.
Leave around tools, helmets, whatever makes it look and feel like you are in a building zone

These are really good ideas, but I am wondering if there is some way I can incorporate the technology side of things.

I'd create a video showing people using your software and have that running on a loop. Ideally, show the actual home ("under construction") shown on an inset as the software is being used to design that aspect of the home. This makes it obvious what you're selling to people casually walking by, and you can spend more time prequalifying leads.

I would do little with the theme since you have only a table and there will be larger exhibits with fatter budgets. I would put my money on a professional spokesperson to walk your customers thru the site. (He or she could be dressed to reflect the theme, but not too much.) I would invest in the visual delivery of your product making sure the video screen can be viewed by all if a crowd gathers. Spokespeople do a great job of communicating the product and then you can answer specific questions and make sure the customer walks away with the printed material. It's all about the product and how the message is delivered.
