Need Feedback On Short Video.

Hi guys. This is a great site, great knowledge here. Thanks for your time.

We have a small issue here that I'd love to hear your opinion about.

Let me first present my business:

We are a promotional products company run by expats living in Shanghai, China.

We serve both Fortune 500 companies and small business in China, and we are more and more exporting promo products straight from China directly to consumers.

Obviously one of our key bottlenecks is finding leads for our business and having them trusting us with their order even if we are far away.

So, I created this little video that basically in 10 minutes proves the concept and demonstrates exactly the kind of savings one could get by buying from us ($732 dollars in an order of 500 pens!). My question to you is: is the video clear enough? Does it communicate the idea clearly? Would you feel this is a company you could do business with given the video and the value proposition of it?

Would love to get some feedback on it.

Any feedback appreciated :)

I like the idea, but not sure you can hold someone's attention for this long.

It would be a good idea to state upfront that many of the promo items (pens) come from China anyway. You would think people make that connection but with the bad press on products from China, you might have to be more direct.

Well, I did take the time to watch the video.
My first impression is definitely too long, even if there's a carrot of $732.
I would not bother so much with that bad reputation Chinese goods have these days.It will pass off, especially so as Chinese realize what the stake is and anyway we , all of us, do not seem to have too many other options, do we?
The biggest challenge is trust. Watching your video does not dispel the doubts your prospects might have.
Randall is right, mere cost-cutting will not sever strong relationship just like that.
I have found no info on what happens if something goes wrong, your shipment is delayed or pens come with a screwed imprint.
Most promotional companies offer either " money back guarantee" or 30 day- return policy, what's yours?

I felt that I could've gotten the same information in 2 minutes, tops.

The video format didn't enhance your presentation. Create a comparison matrix (in print), show how much cheaper your product is. Is there anything else special about your company?

Your gmail account (hsvalle@gmail.com) shouldn't be shown.

www.scrollpens.com has much better pen graphics than your site.

How is YOUR search placement for scroll pens?

Jay is certainly right on those points.
You should really re-consider if a video is the best solution.
Perhaps you should use some simple presentation to prove your point in 30 seconds or 2 minutes and give video on demand for those who are eager to devote their precious time.
Spreadsheet I would not recommend it's a bit too simplistic to me.
BTW I've been in promotional industry for quite a long time so if you need some deeper mind-sharing contact me offline.
You will find my email address in my profile.

I don't have time to watch it at this point. However, at 10 minutes, that's too long for me to watch ANY promo anything.

The $732...I guess I'm not understanding it from your email. I paid $380 for 1000 pens thru Costco.

I'll try to watch it later tonite
