Topic: Website Critique

My Site Needs Your Eyes

Posted by Anonymous on 25 Points
I could really use your help regarding our new Intellectual Sales Process New Business Development seminar. We have developed a great sales training seminar but I could use some help to critique the pages for the website. Also note: I do not have the full brochure up yet.

Any suggestions are appreciated, including general site critique.

    Just looking quickly:

    https://www.positiveresults.com/nbd/

Space too big between top nav and main body (lots of blank blue space)

Bullet (2) delete the word "And"

Make your funnel jpg a little bigger

As a sales letter it isn't particularly strong - doesn't seem to talk to me, you need to start with a power headline like "Generate New Business with Ease" or something similar.

"However, in our experience with hundreds of successful organizations, nearly all of them are not achieving up to their potential" ... I would love to see a stat associated with this "95% of businesses are not achieving their full potential ... by reading this you could be in the top 5%" ... you see what I mean?

Need a stronger call to action, the bottom section just seems to be bit weak .. .you need something like "To book your exclusive appointment now" ... "Click here to take advantage of this offer" etc

Looks like you need a little help with your search engine optimisation too ... for more help here, check out my profile and follow the link to my website.

    I hope that this helps.

    Good Luck

    Your overall website it ok.

Yet, what is your bounce rate?

Not sure if you're looking to make your site accessible for all, but this is also a great tool for broken links.

Fix your titles. Did you write down your standards for sizing, font, etc.? Creating a style guide and standards is smart when you're looking to make your site consistent. Also, a suggestion to standardized your fonts... I see about 3. Sizes all vary.

Finally, my guess is your header has a jpeg, which doesn't allow you to format your page. Look at various other headers. Using the Internet allows you research other sites to maxmize the real estate of your own site. There's little space between the main content and headers, yours detracts from your site.

Also, look at apple.com, adobe.com, etc. These sites follow the main standards used by internet users. You may wish to think about sizing, background color, etc.

    Just my two cents...
