Stagedy To Advertise My Bussiness

Posted by Anonymous on 250 Points
Thanks to everyone who helped with my last question. We also need help on advertising. Our aproaches are hotels, apartment, buildings, residentails, and comercial anyone that needs to reglaze there tubs, clawfoot, sinks, and tiles for a fresh look without spending to much money on replasing. Were trying to organize a simple ad to cath peoples attention. Any ideas on right words to gain trust or attention.

How big a region are you looking to target?

Targeting commercial properties is much different than residential.

If it's commercial, contact property managers (including hotel managers) by phone. Find out if they already have someone that does service for them. If so, find out more - why do they use them, are they happy with them, etc. If they're happy, you're out of luck. If they aren't, you have a natural conversation opener.

If it's residential, you might consider Craigslist as well as contacting local hardware & paint stores (people who might be fixing up their bathrooms would naturally go to these places). and co-market with them.

I would also suggest writing an article on the pros & cons of reglazing and submit it to the local newspapers home section.

For commercial customers offer to do a small job for free.

Include a written guarantee if possible. I don't think advertising to this vertical can be done successfully - unless you want to invest in trade shows or other expensive venues. You might try direct marketing with a glossy postcard showing before and after pictures.

For residential customers, incorporate those before and after pic's into something you can post on bulletin boards in gyms, laundry rooms, supermarkets, etc. Try to build in tear off sheets with your contact info. Again a guarantee might help.

Finally, you might be able to build relationships with 3rd party service providers like painters and plumbers. Offer them a referral fee for any customers they send your way. Hope this helps - good luck.

    What is your marketing budget?
Asking for ideas without providing imortant details is like asking "how long is a rope?"

Get and post testimonials with before and after pics. Attend and network with local managers & apartment owners associations as well as investors meetings.

Well, keep spelling the way you do, and it's SURE to catch people's attention.

Winning their trust might be more difficult, though. A reader's first impression might be: "If they can't spell, how can I trust them to re-glaze my bath. Or all my baths - in my 1000-room hotel".

Seems to me you really need someone to help you put together a proper business development program. Which would involve not simply advertising, but a comprehensive integrated program using the web, direct mail, telemarketing and trade press advertising, back up with an inbound and outbound sales call program. Or whatever pieces of that are appropriate and affordable for your business.

How important is it for you or your sales people to get in front of a prospect - or is this a service that people will buy over the phone?

If I were you, depending upon where you are located - (PLEASE - do yourself a major favour, fill in your profile, so people know stuff like your location, website, etc so they can HELP you more!) - I'd be calling in a consultant like Randall Montalbano (WMMA) or Jay Hamilton-Roth, both of whom have provided responses above.

Just click their names in their responses and you'll be taken to their profiles, where you will find details on how to contact and engage them.

Take my advice, and hopefully you'll still be in time to avoid your strategy becoming, like your spelling, a tragedy.
