    Hi Jamie,

JBTron has given you good advice.

I will add that you should read the book "E-newsletters That Work" by Michael Katz, ISBN 1-4010-9123-7. It covers a lot of what JB talks about and more.

It is a quick read and will give you a lot of valuable information that will save you from making mistakes and make your program more successful from the beginning.

This is important because email recipients have a low tolerance for bad email marketing, and once they unsubscribe, they are gone forever.

You want to try very hard to make a great impression the first time, so you should definitely test your campaign(s) before you send them.

You should consider using a third-party ASP to for delivering your campaigns and securely hosting your database.

For companies just starting out, I don't think you can go wrong or do any better for the cost and feature set offered by Constant Contact www.constantcontact.com, however there are many more.

From a legal perspective, the two areas that are important are intellectual property such as copyright and trademark and CAN-SPAM, you need to become familar with them. Just do a Google search on each of them, you'll get plenty of information.

    I hope that helps.
