Need Idea For Nursing Home Resident Welcome Pack

Posted by Anonymous on 25 Points
I am the director of marketing for a 144 bed skilled nursing facility. Our facility features a 22 bed rehab to home unit called Pathways. I have studied the admission and discharge data for the Pathways unit and see a high percentage of our residents that are return guests. With this I have been looking closer at our customer service practices and would like to create a welcome kit for our guests to make their stay more comfortable. I could use some cost-effective ideas to be included in this kit.

My only advice for creating print for your market is to make the font size and graphics extra big for your demographic. Is this you?:

Carry the theme throughout your welcome pack -- purple is going to be extra hard to print - so make sure that your printer matches the correct purple and ensure this by signing off on all work. You think I am kidding, don't sign off on it and get a bunch of blue welcome packs back.

Study welcome kits of other caretakers and devise what is needed. I would suggest some general rules and guidelines for a optimal stay. Where certain facilities are. Hours of visitation. How to be courteous. The general stuff you would expect in a welcome pack and then take it further.
