You want a website that you can grow. Your products will change over time and you'll have numerous and various products. I would build on a CMS system. This would give you complete control and allow you to add a shopping cart to sell your products. www.buildtelligence.com builds Optimized website with a shopping cart that allows you to add your own optimization and keywords.

Online free classifieds will be better for you.

If your target market is USA then you can try craigslist.org, bckpage.com, kijiji.com. For Canada craigslist.ca and kijiji.ca. For UK & Australia gumtree.com. For Spain loquo.com

I provide advertising service. Feel free to contact me if you need. Details here [URL deleted by staff]

    Hi merchant4,
Sounds like you need to develop the plan before the "tactics." Step 1: Who is the market for your products? Who are you designing them for? (Based on design and price, you probably have an age group in mind.)

Step 2: What else do those kind of people purchase online, or what other kinds of sites do they visit?

Step 3: Keep in mind that banner advertising is one of the least effective methods of online advertising. You might better start by compiling an email list of your friends and relatives. Send them an introductory email to drive them to your site. And ask your friends and relatives to pass your email along to THEIR friends with a personal note or recommendation.

One of the most effective places to advertise on a site that attracts the same kind of customers as your target audience is on that site's "Thank You" page -- the page that comes up once the customer has placed an order. The "Thank You" page will have much less traffic than the other pages on the site, but this traffic will be much more likely to buy. So your cost will likely be lower than advertising on other pages, but your results should be better.

    Thanks,
    Karen
