Trade Show Services - Is The Market Saturated?

Posted by Anonymous on 250 Points
My husband and I are considering creating a company that would manage trade shows for individual companies (not entire shows). We have the experience and marketing backgrounds and feel that we have the creativity to add extra value. We are interested in any input regarding the need for such services. Our local research supports the idea, but we wanted to hear from marketing professionals from around the country. We have run into several companies who either don't have enough personnel to put on the projects so they just don't do shows they want to do, or they pile the work on someone who already has a full-time job. Thanks in advance for your insights.

It can be a huge opportunity. Collect lots of pictures of trade show booths and literature, so people can order a "package" (brochures, signage, people, and equipment). If you have equipment to rent (computers, projectors, tables, podiums, etc.) that could also lessen their cost.

Having had to learn what is involved in putting on trade shows, I can tell you the trade-show staging companies would welcome you with open arms.

You could create a strategic partnership with them to insert you into the process for any client that has never staged a tradeshow before.

Although I suspect you will also get clients who have done one tradeshow and did not enjoy the experience!

Please let us know how you go.

    Best of luck!
