Efficient Billboarding

Posted by Anonymous on 250 Points
Hi everyone. We are a manufacturer who own a billboard. To minimize loss when the billboard isn't rented I wanted to know physically if there was away we could post our own company's ad so that whenever the billboard is vacant we can simply remove the prior ad so that our's would show. Thanks!

I would look at some sort of banner you post on the billboard when you want to show your ad, which you would then remove when someone rents the space. This sounds easier than trying to have a sub-layer that you preserve while removing old ads.

    Sonny,

I tend to think of things in more of a sales mentality. Most people have a vacancy and then start looking for someone to fill it.

I'd suggest you develop a list of people who are intersted and contact them right away when the current user wants out. Taking a deposit will insure that they are really interested...though it's not necessary.

Think in reverse. Rather than removing the out of date ad to reveal yours underneath, which would require some form of ungluing technology.

Instead have your ad printed on a drape or banner that goes over the billboard when the rental period runs out - like a curtain or such. That way its easy to install and take down without affecting the billboard itself.
