New Holistic Treatment How Do I Get Word Out?

Posted by Anonymous on 125 Points
Hi,
I just redid my website, www.NeurOntogenics.com. It describes a new form of holistic treatment, one that is truly a better mousetrap, because it works faster, and the results last longer, and often helps people who have not gotten help anywhere else.

The reasons it works are able to be clearly stated, but are a bit complex, and potentially loaded with buzzwords that will not differentiate what I do.

Is the site successful at conveying that message as it stands right now? How can I
1. get more traffic to the site?
2. get some buzz and discussion going in the online community - good or critical?
3. demonstrate the uniqueness of the treatment while keeping it simple?
Any other thoughts about taglines or other ideas welcomed!

hi allow me to answer your query. lets take each question at a time:

    1. get more traffic to the site?: this will not happen by the the site alone. put in your site url onto search engines etc and try to keep uploading new topics once a week atleast if paucity of time prevails. as i see you have taken care of SEO key words though.

    2. get some buzz and discussion going in the online community - good or critical?: this will take place if you have a feedback and comments section. what i see here is testimonials however a little bit of photographs could be good.

demonstrate the uniqueness of the treatment while keeping it simple? yup it does.

    some suggestions:

take part in forums and industries online. give opinions ans suggestion there.

always have your web url with your email signatures and any online communication

what probably is missing is eye flow. in the sense when one first come on to your home page how do you want them to go further. the first thing is too much info and typically 'i dont know where to start'. this problem persists on other pages like new patient form etc: https://neurontogenics.com/npentry.html

there is this link 'Introduction Letter' when i click on this nothing opened.

practically everywhere i understand we are trying to write about what people are saying about your services. we do not need to try to establish credentials so much can we do this subtly?

in the contact me maybe you want a form type. to capture info that are usually essential to.

People aren't looking for "Advanced mind/body therapies". They're looking for solutions to their problems/pain. They don't care if their solution is chiropractic, herbal, etc. -- so long as it works, is priced right for their budget, and aligns with their value system.

Your website is currently focused more on you than your prospective client. Your second main paragraph ("Types of Conditions helped") is the key.

To get more traffic to your site, you also need better backlinks. Currently, I see 7 links to your site (3 of them from neurontogenics.blogspot.com). The highest pageranked backlink is 1 (0 is lowest/9 is highest).

As a minimum, focus on the search "denver chiropractor". Your top competitor (in Google) is www.denverback.com (with a pagerank of 3). With a little effort, you can improve your pagerank to a 3 (or better).

The best form of buzz is word-of-mouth. Have your existing clients become your raving fans, telling their friends. If necessary, reward them with a referral bonus. Give them coupons to give to their friends for free sessions.

Uniqueness of your system isn't the key (it's good, but not #1) - it's effectiveness. Does your system work, is safe, quick, and has low recurrence? If so, start collecting data, and comparing/contrasting.

Thanks to all who responded - I have changed the website, particularly the home page to reflect the good suggestions that I got. I put the offers more front and center, moved the 'conditions treated' closer to the top, and changed the frames on the landing/home page to reflect the patient benefit idea. They look like tweaks, but it took quite a bit of time.

If I have been successful, the next step is improving page ranking, as suggested is possible 'with a little effort 'by Jay Hamilton-Roth.
Where do I put that effort?

    Dr. Robert -

There is some good advice here already. Increasing page ranking is a tough task and takes some time. It somewhat depends on the search engine. Google is one of the harder ones to achieve a high page rank quickly. I have had better luck getting in the first few listings in Yahoo and Live Search.

Have you tried a Google adwords campaign? This might be helpful in your business. Be sure to do some research on adwords before starting as it can be a little tricky.

Be sure your pages have keywords, but they need to match words in the content. Google does not like keywords that do not agree with text.

Google really likes to see incoming links to your site. Not just any links, but links from sites that have a high page rank themselves. If there are any forums related to holistic chiropractic you should participate and include a link in your signature if it is allowed. You can also create a separate (not under this domain) instructional/informational blog and link to this site.

If you haven't already done so open a Google account and create and submit a sitemap. This will get all of your pages indexed. There are some sitemap tools out there if you Google "XML sitemaps". The more pages that are indexed the more likely you will get found with different search terms. Be sure to mention important key words in the page title and on the page.

In regards to the site, there are some pages that load with the template and then the main table jumps larger when the content loads. I would widen the template to avoid this as it is a little distracting (minor detail). I personally crazy about the color palette. For holistic, I think earth tones (sage, browns, etc). There are a couple of pages that have a different style (new patient wizard). Try to be consistent across the site. It develops a better brand.

    I hope this helps.

    Mike
