Sell Page Critque - Kiss Method -thoughts?

Posted by Anonymous on 125 Points
Im trying to sell this great ebook package that I've come across. Let me know if you think this sales page is effective.
I was trying to keep with the KISS method of KEEP IT SIMPLE STUPID.

Thoughts?

Hi Keith - this is a great idea!

I think your copy needs some work; you have a myriad of typos and that alone would deter me from purchasing.

I'm weary to purchase something that is valued over $7000 for $100. It seems like you are trying to pull one over on me. Why is it only $100?

Additionally, the "by the end of the day" statement doesn't help your date look real - it makes it stand out more as fake, something that changes every time I go to the site. I think your copy can make a big difference though.

    Here are some questions ...
Who are you? What are your qualifications for writing all these books? (cross link to your site)

    Where have they been published?

Have you been selling them online for a long time?

Why are you giving 50% to charity for sale of your ebooks on your site, but that is not mentioned here?

These are all questions that aren't readily answered in your pitch, and that are compounded by the text errors and obvious rush tactics ...

Hope this helps, I've been a web developer for going on 13 years now, and I'm just getting the "true" entrepreneurial bug ... kind of exciting to see other people doing it, and understanding the excitement of a new opportunity!!

Good luck, I hope this works out for you! :)

    Best Regards,

I thought the site looked good. My only thought was the expiration date of the sale...

When people tell me I can only buy at a certain price today, they better have a good reason. Because otherwise it spells high pressure sales scam.

I made a few of the changes that some of you suggested. Let me know if I'm moving towards a more genuine approach.

I still want to create a sense of urgency, and I want the prospective customer to feel the need to "buy now." is there a better way to do that which is more inviting? - for lack of a better term.

    Thanks
    Keith
