Ideas For A Media Event

Posted by Anonymous on 250 Points
Hi,

My client is a Day Spa with butterflies as a trademark. We would like to invite some Beauty Editors for a presentation, and I am thinking that we could play a game or do something else after the presentation. They will be offered champagne, fruits and sweets, as well as a foot massage.

But what about the game??? Can please, somebody help me to find a creative idea???

Thanks

What about a scavenger hunt... Come up with a set number of unique butterflies, i.e., one red, one blue, one striped, etc., and give clues as to which room in the spa they might be hiding.

While the guests hunt for them you will have laid product out and associates will be on hand to discuss the products and the benefits of regular spa treatments...

The guest that finds the butterfly gets a treatment from that particular area... ex., butterfly found in pedicure area gets pedicure, butterfly found in facial room gets facial....

Sign me up! I'm always "game" for a spa treatment.

I would consider an Eco event where you can spread information and prove the Spa to is dedicated to the preservation of the environment and your clients.

Using Jill's idea, you could make stations that give clues that are eco centric. You could also provide Eco calculators (just paper based recycled of course) that allows people to determine their eco footprint. I suggest you visit https://planetgreen.discovery.com for ideas.

You might also provide some eco facts like those you can find at www.humanimpressions.com.

Show them something new. As the editors arrive, measure their blood pressure and stress level (using biofeedback). After each treatment, repeat. You now have data showing how much better you feel and pictures that echo it. Ideally, create a study showing how long these effects last, so you can write a "spa prescription" for people.

Have a sidewalk chalk art event where everyone does a slab featuring butterflies. Invite real artists, photographers and a panel to judge the event. This would gain the attention of local media because the sidewalks would be transformed to a colorful outdoor walkable gallery.
