Level Of Involvement In Purchase Decision

Posted by Anonymous on 125 Points
As we quite well know that the Level of Involvement in purchase decision is basically of 4 major types as Routine Response/Programmed Behavior, Limited Decision Making, Extensive Decision Making/Complex, Impulse buying. My question and dilemma is what category does WHITE BOARD MARKERS (stationery product) fall into?
if somebody can reply me, i 'd be very grateful.

I would say it depends. Here are examples to illustrate:
Routine - I am a purchasing person buying for a college. I buy 100 markers every month.

Extensive - I am a consultant. I use markers to earn my living and have discovered one brand can be more easily seen from a distance. I have measured the effect and carefully selected the ones for my needs.

Impulse - I have a white board rarely use it but see markers on sale near the check out line and say, I think I will buy a pack of new ones.
